  1. A dog’s love is like no other.
  2. Friendships ebb and flow.Ā 
  3. Dance every chance you get.
  4. It doesn’t have to be this hard.
  5. People tell you exactly who they are in the first 15 minutes.
  6. Pay attention to those first 15 minutes
  7. Sleep is good for you.Ā 
  8. Put down the phone, stop resisting.
  9. Love is infinite.
  10. Creativity is infinite.
  11. Ask the dumb question, I guarantee someone else has the same question.
  12. Show up, even when you feel less than 100%, especially when you feel less than 100%.
  13. Date men shorter than you.Ā 
  14. I will always love my children.Ā 
  15. I don’t always like them.
  16. My kids don’t always like me.
  17. Slow down.Ā 
  18. Urgency is based on someone else deciding what is important and imposing their schedule on yours.Ā 
  19. Make sure to decide what is important to you.
  20. Savor the wins, learn from losses.
  21. Spend time with people who are different from you.Ā 
  22. Read books. Your brain will thank you.
  23. Creativity is available in every day.
  24. Sulking only hurts yourself.
  25. Apologize as soon as you are able.Ā 
  26. Sometimes ā€œas soon as you are ableā€ means taking time to reflect on what you are really sorry about.
  27. Don’t use ā€œSorryā€ as a way to get out of your bad behavior or thoughtlessness.
  28. Handwritten ā€˜Thank you’ notes still matter.
  29. It is better to be overdressed than underdressed.
  30. Remember to look up. The stars, the sun, the moon, the clouds remind us of our place.
  31. Your environment matters.Ā 
  32. Cooking is an act of love.
  33. Sharing a meal is a great way to get to know someone.
  34. Random acts of kindness have a positive ā€˜ripple’ effect.
  35. The gut/brain connection is real.
  36. Pay attention to your intuition.
  37. Feeling angry usually means you broke your own rules. Stop blaming the other person/situation.
  38. Beating yourself up over something is simply a distraction from taking responsibility, being accountable, and moving forward.
  39. The best therapy sessions are when you think you are good and don’t need therapy anymore.
  40. Everyone is responsible for their own good time.
  41. Resist the lure of negative belonging:complaining about things with others or trying one up each other about your hardships (this includes ā€˜busyness’)
  42. Confidence comes from being comfortable in your own skin, not from perfection.
  43. Create your own look.
  44. Embrace boredom.
  45. Stay hydrated.
  46. Make lists and then be willing to rip them up.
  47. Changing your mind doesn’t mean you are flaky or unreliable. It means you got some new information.
  48. Treasure your memories and moments more than your possessions.
  49. Give the benefit of the doubt.Ā 
  50. Not everything is about you.
  51. Keep a pen and paper handy.
  52. Enjoy the process. It is often as fun as the destination.
  53. Take a walk.
  54. Be open to the unexpected.
  55. Smell the roses and the lilacs, the osmanthus, the orange blossoms, the jasmine…
  56. Keep a plant at your desk.
  57. Admit when you forget someone’s name.
  58. Breathe deeply and exhale fully.
