I attended​ Kristan’s Salon Series in both July and September, 2025. It was a great experience for several reasons, namely meeting new and inspiring people, learning to listen thoughtfully to others’ histories and ideas, then expressing my own.

It was also an opportunity to start writing regularly, which I hadn’t done in awhile. Each week we presented short essays based on a prompt from Kristan. As the group got to know one another, I started to really look forward to showing up each week.
