Chris Roberts-Antieau Artist Statement

A visit last week to Santa Fe, NM included all the usual stops, the Plaza, Canyon Road, and Café Pasqual’s. The unexpected stop was at Antieau Gallery. A taxidermied swan covered with an embroidered, transparent fabric with beautifully rendered flora and fauna in the window proved irresistible. I needed to know more.

As a romantic, my dad does believe there is true love out there for him. His life is an example of honesty and integrity. Recently, he married his longtime companion in Italy. It feels like he has found his fairy tale ending.
